QVC is now offering an authorized line of Jacqueline Kennedy reproduction jewelry. The prices are reasonable and the jewelry is just stunning.
Jacqueline Kennedy was and still is a style icon. In many ways she was the USA's version of royalty and she dressed for the part. Her style of dress was impeccable, totally suitable to the occasion, stylish and refined. The jewelry that she wore to accessorize her clothing followed suit. Those big oversized eyeglasses on the Olsen twins - Mrs. Kennedy did it first. How about the gorgeous sapphire and diamond engagement ring worn by Diana, Princess of Wales that sparked so many reproductions - Mrs. Kennedy was there first with an engagement ring set with a large emerald surrounded by rows of diamonds. QVC is now offering an authorized line of Jacqueline Kennedy reproduction jewelry. You can catch the show now and again on QVC. Philip Katz, Kennedy family historian, provides the often times fascinating history behind each piece of jewelry and many different pictures are shown of Mrs. Kennedy wearing each piece of jewelry at different events. However, you can also view and purchase all these pieces on the QVC website. Just about all of the jewelry is reasonably priced under $100 with many of the pieces falling in the $50 - $60 price range. The reproduction of her awesome emerald and diamond engagement ring is well under $100. Philip Katz explained on QVC that each piece of jewelry was reproduced exactly. So any slight flaws or bumps on the back of the piece will be represented on these pieces of jewelry also. Some of the jewelry worn by Mrs. Kennedy was quite old and had flaws that were representative of the times in which the jewelry was crafted. For each piece of jewelry there is a 'learn more' link that shows a picture of Mrs. Kennedy wearing the piece of jewelry and a very interesting history of the piece of jewelry. For example, offered for sale is a triple strand of pearls. The learn more link details why there is a space between the inner strand and the other two. It was a design preference of Coco Chanel so that the strands could be twisted in a certain way - really fascinating background for the piece of jewelry. However, please be advised that at these prices faux pearls and gemstones are used. Also all of the metal is toned - not sterling silver, karated gold or gold filled. For example, silver toned is a silver colored base metal. QVC gives customer reviews of each piece and most of the reviews are extremely favorable.
